Corrective maintenance and air conditioning breakdown repair service.

The air conditioning has stopped. It's not cooling. Or it's making a noise it didn't make before. Or it starts and stops. Or it simply won't start. Unfortunately, we know exactly what you are feeling right now, which is why our commitment is to assist you as soon as possible.

Repairing things correctly is cheaper than repairing them poorly. But you need to know what you're doing.

When the air conditioning stops, the urgency makes you call the first one that appears on Google, the one with the sign in the building entrance, or your "brother-in-law's friend." There are many technicians available, but few who repair things properly.

We have seen this a lot of times.

The technician comes, replaces the faulty part, charges you, and leaves. The equipment works again. But after a few days or weeks, it breaks down again.

Because they haven't investigated why that part failed in the first place. If the compressor has been running under stress for months due to a dirty circuit, replacing the compressor without cleaning the circuit only delays the same problem for a few weeks.

That is treating the symptom instead of the cause. And it comes at a cost that the customer pays twice: the first repair and the second, which arrives sooner than it should.

Another frequent problem is spare parts. A generic part might make the equipment start, but it does not guarantee that it will recover its original performance and, in some cases, it voids the manufacturer's warranty.

Machines almost always break down at the worst possible moment.

How Davofrío's air conditioning repair and corrective maintenance service works.

When you contact us about a breakdown, the process is always the same: transparent, without surprises, and with all the facts on the table before anyone touches anything.

Step 1: You tell us what is happening.

By phone or via the form. We collect the basic information: what equipment you have, what symptoms it shows, how many years it has been installed, and which area it is in.

With that, we can already make an initial assessment of the type of intervention that is likely needed.

Step 2: Technical visit estimate.

Before we head out, we inform you of the cost of the diagnostic visit.

It is a flat rate that covers the call-out fee and the technical analysis of the equipment on-site. There is no fine print or hidden charges.

If you agree, we schedule the visit.

Step 3: Real on-site diagnosis.

The technician arrives, checks the equipment with calibrated measuring tools, and determines the root cause of the breakdown.

Not just what failed, but why it failed. That difference is what separates a repair that lasts from a patch that lasts three months.

Step 4: Written repair estimate.

With the diagnosis complete, we provide you with a detailed repair estimate: what needs to be done, which parts are required if applicable, and how much it costs.

Nothing is done without your approval. You decide.

Step 5: Repair with original spare parts.

We use original spare parts to ensure that the equipment's performance after the repair is the same as it was before the breakdown.

And that your equipment does not lose its manufacturer's warranty.

Step 6: Functional testing and report.

Upon completing the intervention, the technician verifies that the equipment operates correctly in all its modes.

And you receive a report with the diagnosis, actions taken, and future recommendations.

The importance of trusting an official technical service (SAT) like Davofrío.

There are many air conditioning technicians. The difference between a generic installer and an Official Technical Service is not just in the sign: it lies in the level of technical access to the equipment.

Engineering applied to corrective maintenance.

Leading brand equipment features self-diagnostic systems that are only accessible with official manufacturer software. A technician without SAT access sees the error code on the screen. A Davofrío technician accesses the complete failure history, the operating values at the time of the breakdown, and the internal parameters that explain why it occurred. That is what allows us to find the root cause, not just the symptom.

We only use original manufacturer spare parts with serial numbers and traceability. A generic part might work, but it does not guarantee that the equipment's SEER or COP will return to design values. And in some cases, using non-original spare parts voids the remaining equipment warranty.

If your equipment is under warranty or has an extended warranty, an official SAT intervention will not void it. An intervention by an unauthorized technician will. At Davofrío, we are an official SAT for Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Panasonic, Hitachi, Bosch, and Airzone, among other brands.

The most frequent breakdowns we repair every day at Davofrío.

Not all breakdowns are the same or have the same origin. These are the most frequent ones in the Mediterranean area, and we’ll tell you what they usually indicate.

The equipment does not cool or heat.

It could be a refrigerant leak, a degraded compressor, an electrical circuit problem, or simply a miscalibrated temperature sensor. Field diagnostics determine which one it is. Without measurements, any explanation is just a guess.

The equipment starts and stops continuously.

This usually indicates a problem with the pressure switch, a restriction in the refrigerant circuit, or a compressor protection triggered by temperature or pressure being out of range. It is one of the symptoms that causes the most cumulative damage if ignored.

Noises in the indoor or outdoor unit.

A knocking sound could be a fan with damaged blades or a trapped object. A whistling sound usually indicates a refrigerant leak. An electrical hum points to a faulty capacitor or contactor. Each sound tells a different technical story.

Water dripping from the indoor unit.

It is almost always a clogged drain. The condensate does not drain, the tray overflows, and water enters the room. It is solved by cleaning the drain, but you must also verify that the unit's inclination is correct and that there is no deterioration in the tray.

The equipment displays an error code and will not start.

Error codes are the equipment's self-diagnostic system. Their correct interpretation requires access to the manufacturer's technical manual and, in many cases, official SAT diagnostic software. A technician without that access can read the code but cannot always interpret it correctly.

If you have a preventive maintenance contract with Davofrío, you have priority.

Clients with an active preventive maintenance plan have priority access to corrective service.

When there is high demand, as it invariably happens during the first weeks of heat or the first days of cold of the year, clients with a contract are the first on the agenda.

There is a technical reason behind that, beyond the commercial one. Equipment that is maintained on a regular basis has a documented history. The technician who arrives to handle a breakdown already knows the equipment, knows how it was at the last inspection, and can make the diagnosis faster and more accurately.

If you do not have a maintenance contract and your equipment has failed, we will still assist you. In fact, we guarantee that the technician will be at your home within a maximum of 24 hours once the service quote is approved.

But if this moment has made you think that next time you would prefer to be on the priority list, here we explain how the preventive plan works.

At Davofrío, we guarantee that you will have the technician at your home within 24 hours once the quote is approved.

If your equipment has failed, there is only one next step.

Tell us what is happening. The technical service will collect the data, inform you of the cost of the diagnostic visit, and schedule the technician. No beating around the bush, no indefinite waiting times, with all the information before anyone is dispatched.

A breakdown does not fix itself. The sooner it is diagnosed, the more options there are to repair it without having to replace the equipment.
